Regan’s Turmeric Endurance Crackers

Gluten Free. Dairy Free. Nut Free. Vegan

These anti-inflammatory crackers are crunchy, savoury and packed with protein and healthy fats. They are the perfect snack to provide long lasting energy. Also, they make fantastic “croutons” broken over salads or tomato soup!

Makes 25-30 Crackers

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Chia Seeds

  • ½ cup raw hulled sunflower seeds

  • ½ cup raw pumpkin seeds

  • ¼ cup raw white sesame seeds

  • ¼ cup hemp hearts

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 large clove garlic, finely grated

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • ½- tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp white pepper

Directions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 300F.

  2. In a large bowl combine the chia, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp and sesame seeds.

  3. Add the water, garlic, and spices. Stir until combined. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes until the chia absorbs the water. After a few mins, when you stir it around there shouldn’t be any water pooling at the bottom of the bowl.

  4. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet using a spatula. Should be abut 1/8-1/4 inch thick.

  5. Bake for 35mins. Remove from the oven and carefully flip. Bake for another 35mins, until lightly golden. Be careful not to burn! Let the crackers cool and then break them into pieces.

  6. Store on the counter in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for 1 month.
